This official announcement was made by the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee on the occasion of Mahashivratri, following traditional ceremonies performed at the Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath, the winter abode of Lord Kedarnath.
As per tradition, the temple will remain open to devotees until October 23, 2025 (tentatively). The closing date coincides with the Bhai Dooj festival, which falls just after Diwali, marking the end of the annual Char Dham Yatra season in Uttarakhand.
