Manipur Zoological Garden
Manipur Zoological Garden is the pride of Imphal capital of Manipur. Established on 2nd October 1976, the garden is found around eight kilometers from Imphal in Lamphelpat. With lush inexperienced fields on 2 of its sides, the menagerie is providing shelter to several vulnerable and rare species of flora and fauna species.
This singularity of the garden has won it the title of 'Jewel Box' of the state. Loaded with leaves, the garden could be a treat for nature lovers and life enthusiasts.
The surroundings of the Zoological Garden are marked by dense forest and hillocks. Be it flora or fauna, the garden enjoys richness in everything. Its rare assortment of species allures tourists from totally different locations across the world. 55 species of birds were spotted in the Zoological Garden.
These birds keep the atmosphere melodious and buoyant. The animal section of this Zoological Garden consists of around 420 species together with some rare species.
