To make the process of bird watching more feasible, there are about four towers erected at different points of this property.

History of Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary

The sanctuary was established in 1972 and was later upgraded to Sultanpur National Park in 1991. The credit for its recognition goes to the famous ornithologist Dr. Salim Ali, who requested the government to protect this rich bird habitat. Over the years, it has become a protected home for migratory birds such as Siberian Cranes, Greater Flamingos, and Black-winged Storks, making it one of the most important birding destinations in India.
