Pushkar Lake
Considered to be one of the most sacred Rajasthan lakes and featuring a total of 52 holy bathing ghats, Pushkar Lake attracts a huge influx of devotees from all over the country. According to popular beliefs, taking a dip in the sacred waters of this lake will wash all sins away and also help cure various skin problems.
The peaceful embankment of the lake is dotted with a total of 500 age-old Hindu temples, which are visited by almost all the tourists coming to spend time at Pushkar Lake.
With its name mentioned in the Hindu scriptures, the Pushkar Lake is associated with the popular mythological belief that it was created at the same place where the petals of the lotus of Lord Brahma fell while he destroyed Vajra Nabha.
