Constructed by the Gurjara-Pratihara rulers in the 12 century, Balsamand Lake is one of the least crowded lakes in Rajasthan, known for its green surroundings and peaceful environs.

Encircled by breathtaking gardens of papaya, pomegranate, banana, and mango trees, this serene lake was established to safeguard the people of Jodhpur city from acute droughts. At the present day, Balsamand Lake serves as an enchanting picnic spot and also offers breathtaking sunset views. Travelers visiting the lake also love to engage in horse riding and garden walks.
