Chatakpur Trek
This one-day trek in Darjeeling is a short hike to enjoy nature. The trek starts in the morning from Darjeeling Aluabari Road to Jorbangla, the main junction. From here we would take the main road towards the 3rd mile that goes to Chatakpur. Chatakpur, a small village in the district of Darjeeling offers a splendid view of Kanchenjunga. It is known for dense forests and your trek includes trailing through Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary.
On the way, you would find the beautiful Senchal Lake. You will be reaching a small Eco village, called Rumba. It is located at an altitude of 7,887 feet and offers an overwhelming sight of lush hills covered with tall conical trees and a cloudy sky.
