Porbandar Beach
The sandy stretch of Chowpatty Beach in Porbandar is a perfect place for tourists for a lazy afternoon stroll or to sit and enjoy the blue expanse of the Arabian Sea. Other than the serenity, the beach also has to offer stalls of fast food and the specialty drink, Kahwa. Flamingos, seagulls, and other sea birds throng the beach throughout the day.
The Porbandar Beach, popular by the name 'Chowpati' is a famous tourist attraction in the town. Reconstructed in 2003, it has good seating arrangements for visitors to sit and relax. There is also a skating rink for children. The Janmashthami fair also takes place on the premises of Chowpati every year.
