Nandanvan Jungle Safari
Naya Raipur City is developing into a world-class city. It is a vision of the Former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh to create a world-class Zoo & Safari in Naya Raipur. This is one of his dream projects. The proposed area is adjoining the Botanical Garden.
The whole area thus shall be developed as a conservation, recreational, and educational site. Nandanvan Jungle Safari, Naya Raipur will provide a pleasing experience to the visitors not only about the local wildlife but also about national wildlife. The exhibit's care and awareness will be of such a level to promote the conservation of wildlife.
Nandanvan Jungle Safari, Naya Raipur will endeavor to breed the endangered species in a planned manner for display, exchange, and rehabilitation in the wild. This zoo & safari will be a showcase of nature for visitors, nature lovers, and wildlife enthusiasts.
The Jungle Safari, located at sector-39, Naya Raipur. Naya Raipur is about 35km from Raipur Railway Station and 15km from the Swami Vivekanand Airport, Raipur. The entire 800-acre area of the Nandanvan Jungle Safari is lush green, with beautiful landscapes. Several indigenous plant species also add to the vegetation, creating a natural habitat for the animals.
It has a 130-acre water body named ‘Khandwa Reservoir’ which attracts many migratory bird species. Four safaris namely, herbivore, Bear, tiger & Lion Safari have been established. Another 32 species of animal will be exhibited in the upcoming zoo.
