Cinque Island

Once you are on the island, there are plenty of activities to keep you occupied the entire day. The most popular activity on Cinque Island is scuba diving and snorkeling, because of the rich marine life that’s found in the waters, like exotic fish, sea anemones, turtles, starfish, and even some sea snakes.

Apart from these, there are also many other water sports activities you can do on the island like jet skiing, parasailing, banana boating, and kayaking. If you are not up for these activities, you can just unwind by the beach, relax, and enjoy the soothing sound of the waves and the beautiful view of the blue ocean.

The best time to visit Cinque Island is during the winter and summer seasons, from October to May as the sky remains clear, with plenty of sunlight and seldom chances of rain. The temperatures also lie in a comfortable range.

Boat services to Cinque Island are located at Wandoor and Port Blair. However, these services are not scheduled. You need to contact private boat operators first, who will then arrange this service for you. It takes close to 2 hours to reach Cinque Island if you take a boat from Chidiya Tapu and close to 3 hours from Wandoor.

Start your trip at around 7:00 in the morning so that you get back by late evening. If you are up for it, you can also stay the night and camp and head back the next morning.
