One of the most visited temples in Jodhpur is the Raj Ranchhodji Temple which is dedicated to Lord Krishna whose other name is Ranchhod. The temple is made of red stone and has marvelous carvings on its walls. You will also notice beautiful filigree work on the stones which make up the temple. The idol of Lord Krishna is made of black marble stone.

The entrance door of the temple is beautifully decorated with stained glass windows of various colors which include yellow, blue, and green glass windows. History of Raj Ranchhodji Temple

This temple was constructed in 1905 AD by Queen Jadechi Rajkanwar after the demise of her husband, Maharaja Jaswant Singh. In this temple, the queen had established the idol of Lord Krishna which she had brought with her after her marriage from Gujarat.

Even the priests who used to carry out the religious works of the temple were from Gujarat and even today the temple has priests from this place itself.
