Uppalapadu Nature Conservation
Uppalapadu Nature Conservation is situated on the southern side of the city. It is a place to admire a large number of endangered species of Birds, this spectacular reserve located near Guntur attracts many local and foreign tourists every year.
Water tanks in the region are a perfect place to enjoy a beautiful spectacle of birds like Spot-Billed Pelicans and Painted Storks. The number of bird species has, however, reduced in recent times from 12,000 to 7000.
Uppalapadu Nature Conservation is a popular and a must-see place in Andhra Pradesh. As per its name, it is the place dedicated to the conservation of nature and protecting the birds. This place also serves as the temporary residence to the migratory birds that arrive here between the months of October-March. In simpler words, it is a bird sanctuary and a perfect spot for bird watching.
Uppalapadu Nature Conservation is known for its arresting surroundings. The whole vicinity is dotted with trees. Close to the trees, a reservoir is located that serves as the chief source of water for the birds that reside here.
